Rhythm of the River is a short Documentary on the Story of how the Jazz Room in Waterloo came to be. The film covers the history of the Huether Hotel in Waterloo, Ontario, and how it came together with the Grand River Jazz Society to create "The Jazz Room". Which now is home to Jazz for the Tri-city and it's neighbors.

Owner/Operator, Huether Hotel

The Adlys family aquired the Huether Hotel in 1953. Since then they have run the hotel to it's full glory and potential. Fun Fact, The name wasn't even Huether hotel when they took over. They changed the name back to Huther Hotel in the 1980s.

Larry Larson

Trumpet Maestro, The Jazz Guys

Larry isn't just a musician, he is also a professor at the Wilfred-Laurier University and one of the founders of the Jazz Room.

The Huether Hotel has a rich history of over a hundred and fifty years. With changing owners and occupants, the Huether Hotel has seen different businesses take birth within the hotel.

The Jazz Room

The Jazz Room was found just over a decade ago by the Huther Hotel and The Grand River Jazz Society. It is now home to Jazz for the locals and neighboring cities.
